Power In Peace

To be peaceful, be thankful for all that is. Peace comes when there is no fighting, and being thankful eliminates what you would fight against.

In a state of peace, you can focus all of your energy on being effective and creative. When you are at peace, you have great power to put toward the service of your highest purpose.

Peace enables you to fully accept and make use of the limitless abundance that surrounds you. Peace saves you from all the wasted time and effort of resentment, judgment, worry and doubt.

What has arrived in your world is already here, and you are here to fully experience it. See if you can be genuinely and unreservedly thankful, for that thankfulness draws you into the powerful state of peacefulness.

Yes, some of what comes your way is uncomfortable, inconvenient and even painful. Be thankful nonetheless, and ease the burden of your burdens.

Be thankful, and truly at peace, with what is. And you put yourself in control of what can be.

So it’s been a while. A really long while actually but I’m back and I’m hoping to keep this up this time around. Where have I been you may ask. Well I’ve been here, I’ve been around, I’ve been busy but not busy writing and that is a massive regret for me.
Today I was on a People Management course for work and as part of this course, I have to look at myself, be insightful, answer reflective questions, think about my purpose. During this time of self rediscovery, I remembered that writing is my passion. I say remembered, I never actually forgot but I’ve allowed the everyday to take over and I put my dreams and desires to the side.
Realising this made me feel quite sad, I was so emotional I had to fight back the tears. Writing and becoming a writer use to be such a passion of mine, my fingers were always itching to grab hold of a pen or to start typing and write and write and write.
It’s so easy to allow life to take over. We have to pay bills, we have to look after our families etc and…

Lest we forget 💔🕯 #Grenfell #6MonthsOn #NeverForget

Yes I keep up with the Kardashians and no I’m not ashamed!!

I’m going to make a bold statement! Are you ready...?
I love Keeping up with the Kardashians!!!
Honestly I do and I’ve found over the years that many people share my healthy obsession with the family but like me, they kind of keep it under wraps. I’ve also found that people who don’t like the Kardashians, think it’s okay to belittle those of us who do but I’m sorry that’s just not kool (see what I did there 😉).

Why do you love the Kardashians I hear you cry. Well personally I work in a very tense environment and to be honest, before I started my current job 6 years ago, I had never even watched the Kardashians. One of my peers was totally in to Kim K and the rest of the family and because of her, I thought I’d have a little watch and you know what....I’ve never looked back.
If you’re highly stressed about something or work in an intense environment like myself, sometimes you just need a break and that break can take many forms. Reading, meditating, writing, working out, watching tv; an…
